Driver V4 flags OFF. The same sealed zxing-wasm 3.1.6 decoder is used without BarcodeDetector. Frames stay in transient memory. Do not scan real receipts or customer QR codes.

TEST ONLY. Camera starts only after tapping Start.

Physical check

  1. Allow camera; scan the fixture. Expect PASS and camera indicator off.
  2. Start again, then Stop. Verify camera indicator off.
  3. Start, background or lock the phone, then return. Camera stays off until Start.
  4. Deny camera permission in site settings. Expect a clear recovery message.
  5. Show an unrelated synthetic code or two fixtures. Expect rejection, never navigation.

No phone result is saved or uploaded. Record only phone/browser versions and PASS/FAIL manually.

Current Safari/Chrome with trusted HTTPS, camera and WebAssembly required. Embedded/old browsers may not work. iOS home-screen mode needs separate acceptance. Do not bypass browser security.
